A fired terracotta block, moulded by hand. Suited to fences, facades, terrace balustrades and partitions. The shape of the opening decides how much light passes through and what shadow the wall draws through the day. They are made by a family workshop from the pottery town of Bailén in Andalusia, run since 1975 by the third generation, whose handmade pieces go to more than 80 countries.
Nine small openings reveal less of the view than one large opening, so Andalúzia CC 4 suits anywhere you want privacy together with light and air: a street fence, a terrace balustrade or a partition between kitchen and dining room. On the wall it creates a fine grid of small points of light. It shares the 20 × 20 cm module of Andalúzia CC 1 to CC 5, so they can be mixed in one surface, for example the denser CC 4 in the lower part of a fence and the more open CC 1 above. The horizontal CC 6 blocks serve for bands and lintels.
